Yali Szulanski
Core Semikha, Class of 2025

Yali Szulanski is an educational wellness consultant, a trauma-informed emotions specialist, a teacher, a writer, and founder of The "I Am" Project, through which she integrates emotional wellness practices in classrooms, camps, and community organizations. Yali works with people to increase their emotional literacy and expression, especially when managing challenging situations. Yali works with children, parents, teachers, and families on how to create environments that promote emotional and spiritual wellness for all. She received her Masters in Psychology and Education from Teachers’ College, Columbia University, where she completed The Spirituality-Mind-Body Intensive program, and has been a teacher for over a decade. Yali is also a certified rescue diver, Zumba instructor, meditation teacher, energy healer, and lends her talents to various organizations as a teacher and consultant. Yali is the Youth Director at The Hebrew Institute of Riverdale, where she lives with her family.
