The Dr. Khane-Faygl Turtletaub z’l Alumnae Fund

Alumnae support is a key component of the Center for Lived Torah. To provide the necessary funding for these important alumnae initiatives, a generous donor has created the Dr. Khane-Faygl Turtletaub z’l Alumnae Fund. This fund honors the memory and legacy of Dr. Turtletaub who was a lifelong student, teacher, scholar, and connector. She was a sought after expert in the Yiddish language (among many other topics of general and scholarly interest), and inspired hundreds of students to deepen their pursuit of Yiddish literature and culture. She was also deeply invested in people. She nurtured her students’ professional and personal lives, and established successful networks and connections to support them throughout their journeys. Creating and launching the Dr. Khane-Faygl Turtletaub z’l Alumnae Fund –  which will support and connect Maharat’s growing network of alumnae – is an inspiring tribute to the life she led and modeled for others.
