Rabbi Dr. Susan Hornstein

Rabbi Susan Hornstein is an educator and a lifelong student. She holds a BA from Brandeis University and a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from Brown University. She grew up in Boca Raton, Florida, where her family was instrumental in founding the Jewish community. Rabbi Hornstein completed a long career in User Experience Design and continues to be a Jewish educator. She is a founder of the Women’s Tefillah Group of Raritan Valley and has served on shul and mikvah boards in her community.

Rabbi Hornstein is also a musician and is a conductor for HaZamir: The International Jewish Teen Choir. She has founded a new community, Kol Ami, a welcoming halakhic congregation. She lives in Highland Park, New Jersey with her husband and has children and grandchildren in the US and Israel.
