Our students come from a variety of academic backgrounds, but they all share three main characteristics upon entering Maharat.

To gain admittance, applicants must:

  • Aspire to serve as spiritual leaders

  • Seek to receive Orthodox semikha

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Jewish text study
