Rabba Melissa Scholten-Gutierrez

Rabba Melissa Scholten-Gutierrez is a values-driven Jewish educator, community builder, and visionary leader. Rabba Melissa currently serves the community as a consultant, bringing her vibrant energy and varied expertise to organizations nationwide. She is also a recent graduate of M²: The Institute for Experiential Jewish Education’s Senior Educators Cohort 7, an active volunteer leader, and is known for her uniquely joyful Judaism and Torah based social-justice work.
Rabba Melissa received rabbinic ordination from Maharat and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Illinois. She has also learned intensively at Nishmat and Pardes in Jerusalem. In her free time, Rabba Melissa enjoys writing and has been published in several print and digital forums. She is thrilled to be back home in Denver to raise her family in the city where she grew into herself.
