Rabbanit Chava Evans
Core Semikha, Class of 2017

Rabbanit Chava Evans received a B.A. in Religion from Brown University. She was the recipient of the James Manning Medal for Excellence in Religious Studies and a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar. She also trained as a painter and illustrator in both Israel and the United States, holds an M.F.A from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and worked for many years as a freelance illustrator and artist. Rabbanit Chava learned at the Nishmat Center for Advanced Torah Study and previously served as the Director of Jewish Life at the Bender JCC of Greater Washington in Rockville, MD. She is now a Chaplaincy Resident at Georgetown University Hospital.
