Jacquelynn (Jacquie) Burmester graduated from Union College in the class of 2020 with a double-major in Psychological Science and German Studies and is a current Master’s student in Jewish Studies at the Jewish Theological Seminary. She served as Hillel President and Kosher Kitchen Chair as well as the administrative assistant for the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life during her undergraduate studies at Union. At JTS, Jacquie was the Jewish Life Director/Resident Director for graduate students. Jacquie has also sat on the Women’s League Seminary Synagogue advisory committee, the Germantown Student Education Fund board, and received fellowship awards for her work with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Jacquie is a passionate advocate who also enjoys reading, writing, and whichever craft-based hobby she finds next.
